Issues with Manufacturing in the UK →
This is a really interesting blog post by the Raspberry Pi team discussing their attempts to manufacture their boards in the UK whilst trying to avoid the default of manufacturing in the Far East. Whilst keen to remain a homegrown bootstrap industry, the way in which the UK manufacturing industry and the taxation upon imports of components has been setup, means it is almost impossible.
